Step 1: Purchase a Discovery Report DISC profile access code in our store here. You will select the Discovery Report version that suits what you need. After you place your order, you will receive an email from us that contains instructions and a unique access code. You may buy as many Discovery Reports as you like at one time (such as for a team). If you order multiple Discovery Reports you will receive multiple access codes (one for each user) in that case.
Step 2: Take your online DISC assessment here at www.discoveryreport.com. The online assessment will only take about 15-20 minutes. Relax – it’s not a test, it is just a personality assessment with no right or wrong answers. After you complete the assessment, you will immediately see your Discovery Report and you will get an email with a link to your Discovery Report. Read and enjoy!
Step 3: Read Your Discovery Report and check out our free bonus tools. Not only will you get your own personalized Discovery Report, but you will have access to some free bonus tools such as our Team Charts to plot an entire team for an at-a-glance view. We also have a free 2-person report that can help any two people to better understand how to relate to each other more effectively.
Team Charts – View Your Team Using DISC
Team charts are a free bonus for everyone who has a Discovery Report access code. This tool will plot everyone on the team in a DISC chart so you can see where everyone is on the chart. It’s a great way to get a high level view of your team. You’ll immediately see the mix of where people fall on the scale of being outgoing or reserved and on the scale of being task-oriented or people-oriented. Using Team Charts is simple. Here are the 3 steps to follow:
Step 1: Get the List of Access Codes for Everyone in Your Team. Each person on your team should already have a Discovery Report access code. All you need is a list of those access codes as a simple list. You probably have the list in the email you received when you ordered the Discovery Reports. Otherwise, you can ask your participants to email you their access codes. If you have your order number, we can provide the list to you – just contact us with your order number.
Step 2: Go to the Team Charting Tool Page Here. This is the page that will have the online form you will use.
Step 3: Enter your list of access codes into the form and click the “View Team Chart” button. It will be easiest if you have the list of codes where you can copy them and then paste them into the form.
Step 4: Review Your Results and Take Advantage of the 2-Person Relationship Feedback Report option at the end of your results. You will see your team charts as well as individual graphs listed. In addition, you will see two drop-down lists of all the participants shown. You can chose any of the two participants to then generate a “Relationship Feedback Report” that will be a guide to help those two people to understand themselves and each other better. Most importantly, it will provide a guide to the “Strengths, Struggles and Strategies” of their personality combination. You can also access the Relationship Feedback Report for 2 People separately here.
Job Matching – How to Use Hiring Insights
Job matching by personality style is a great way to help ensure that your candidate will fit the work environment that he or she is placed in. The concept is very straightforward. You use an assessment to measure what personality style best fits the role or position you have in mind. Then, you can compare the personality style of your candidates to see which ones fit your target. This is a great complimentary tool to add to your toolset. It will not measure skills or experience or education of course, but it will give you insights that will help you find someone who will feel comfortable in the role you place them in based on personality style. All things being equal, you want to place people in a position that seem to resonate with the environment versus someone who feels out of place or stressed in the same environment. Hiring Insights is designed to help you lower your turnover and increase the happiness factor of those you place in the role you are trying to fill.
Step 1: Purchase a Hiring Insights Report Here. After you place your order, you will receive an email from us that contains instructions and a unique access code.
Step 2: Take the role/position assessment here at www.discoveryreport.com. The online assessment will only take about 15-20 minutes. You will answer questions about the requirements of the role or position that you are trying to fill. It should take about 20 minutes or so. After you complete the online assessment, you will immediately see the Hiring Insights Discovery Report and you will get an email with a link to the report.
Step 3: Purchase a Discovery Report for Each of Your Candidates. Have each of the candidates to be considered for the job or role will take an online personality assessment. All versions of Discovery Report online DISC profiles will work for this process. You may choose the lowest cost version – the concise adult version if you like.
Step 4: Use the Team Chart tool here to show all the candidates and the “target candidate” in one easy-to-understand chart. Thus you will quickly see which candidates are the closest match. Each candidate should already have a Discovery Report access code. You will also have an access code for the Hiring Insights report for the position you are looking to file. All you need is a list of those access codes as a simple text list. You probably have the list in the email you received when you ordered the Discovery Reports and the Hiring Insights report.
